With the onset of the colder weather most of our outdoor classes will resume next spring. Indoor studio classes continue to be available. Please see our schedule to find a class that is right for you. City Motion offers exercise classes for every age and ability level. Joining an exercise class will help individuals commit to an exercise regime which increases the likelihood of achieving your fitness goals. For many people an exercise class is utilized for more than just the health benefits; participation will also allow you to meet new people and socialize, and offer ideas on how to incorporate new exercises into a routine that you may be starting. City Motion offers outdoor classes as well as small indoor classes that utilize a variety of equipment. Most group classes follow a tradition aerobic structure which includes: A warm up, cardiovascular and resistance portion, a cool down and stretches to conclude. Note that if you join a class that is specifically designed for improving one energy system such as a running class or weight lifting class the class will focus solely on improving the desired components of the class. If you are looking to improve your body shape and overall health but hate the thought of exercising alone then join in an organized exercise class. A multitude of options are available. City Motion instructors will be there to ensure you are performing exercises properly and getting the most benefits from your hard work. *All participants will be required to fill out a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) and may be required to seek their doctor's permission Before starting an exercise program. City Motion wants to thank all of our great participants for continually putting in hard work and dedication. So now when your friends ask how you stay physically active you can be rewarded for telling them! When a NEW participant registers for an eight week session and they mention your name you BOTH receive $5.00 off your next class registration. Bring a friend day: This is our way of showing additional appreciation to the community for their support. Your friend comes for FREE and You earn $5.00 off your next enrollment for every friend you bring! The date is determined by the instructor with in each outdoor class session. Returnee Incentive: Thank you for your loyalty to City Motion and dedication to physical activity! Receive $5.00 off your registration cost for your commitment to staying active, and helping us to Get This City Moving. To qualify the class must be the next available eight week session with City Motion to receive the returnee bonus. Just hearing about us and want to join? No problem, join a class part way through a session at a prorated amount (as long as spaces permit). Note that some classes are more progressive than others and it is not recommended that you start a Learn to Run Class part way through an eight week session. Make up Classes: At City Motion we understand that life is busy and participants are concerned about missing a class. As a participant feel free to make a missed class up with another class. For example if you are enrolled in a Friday Pilate's Class and miss a class for any reason you may make that class up with a Monday Pilate's Class within the SAME session. However participants cannot attend a Step Class in place of a Pilate's Class. Note that a make up class may not be offered if the select class only runs one program per session.
